Independent audit and assurance, delivered locally
Manawatu Audit provides independent audit, review and agreed-upon procedures engagements for businesses, registered charities, not-for-profit organisations and other entities across the Manawatū and surrounding regions.
We focus on quality work, clear communication, responsiveness and delivering engagements when we say we will.

SERVICE 01
Audit Engagements
An independent audit provides a high level of assurance over an organisation’s financial statements. It gives governing bodies and stakeholders confidence that the statements have been subject to a robust, independent examination.
We plan the audit around your organisation, its reporting framework and the areas that matter most. Throughout the engagement, you deal directly with experienced audit leadership and receive clear communication on information requirements, progress and any matters arising.
Suitable for organisations that:
- have a statutory, constitutional, funding or contractual audit requirement;
- need independent assurance for shareholders, members, funders, lenders or other stakeholders;
- or want the confidence that comes from a thorough external audit process.
Our priority is a quality audit that is well organised, proportionate to your entity and delivered on time.

Review Engagement
A review engagement provides limited assurance over financial statements and may be appropriate where a full audit is not required, but an independent level of assurance remains beneficial.
A review can support the needs of boards, trustees, owners, lenders, funders and other users of the financial statements. We will discuss the requirement with you and help ensure that a review is the appropriate form of engagement for the intended purpose.
Suitable for organisations that:
- do not require a full audit;
- want a cost-conscious level of independent assurance;
- or need to provide greater credibility to financial information presented to stakeholders.

SERVICE 03
Agreed-upon Procedures
Sometimes the need is narrower than an audit or review. An agreed-upon procedures engagement examines specific information or processes and reports the factual findings from procedures agreed in advance with the engaging parties.
This can be useful for grant accountability, funding or contractual requirements, specific transactions, or another clearly defined area where a stakeholder needs independent work to be performed.
Because an agreed-upon procedures engagement does not provide an audit or review opinion, the scope must be clear. We work with the relevant parties to define practical procedures that address the stated requirement.
